Thoughts of Bella consumed Jacob's as he walked slowly along the shoreline. The other day with find out she was back with Edward had been too much for him. He just wanted to go back home, back home to New York. He didn't want to stay around this painful place anymore. He had had more than enough of it! so much for the three day stay around, he thought and kicked the sand he walked on, frustrated he had even came home again. He's whole plan of coming back home to just see his family, friends and pack had all changed when he found Bella was still alive and unmarried.
He sighed and looked up to the setting sun on the horizon of Second beach before sitting down. He needed a distraction, a big one, but he didn't know what he would be able to find in a place like La Push. The lands had been quiet for years now, so Sam said. It was so much easier to find a distraction, to find find trouble in New York. He would do anything to get Bella off of his mind. He hoped the ocean would calm his mind, like it usually did, but it really only let his mind wonder even more. He growled and placed his forehead on his knees and wrapped his arms around his legs.

Evelyn walked on the beach and looked at the sunset, even though she was a vampire for a while she still thought the sunset was a beautiful as the first time she seen it. The sun didn't hit her skin much so she didn't worry about sparkling, she didn't even see anyone around. The water hit her as she kept walking she never been her before but she liked it way better the Seattle. A frown appeared on her face as she looked at the first thing on her note Get blood somehow.... It made her upset, it made her remember she was a vampire and not human anymore.
The note was stuffed into her pocket as she kept walking on the beach. Then a repulsing smell came to her and she covered her noise quickly as she could. At first she thought it was human blood but then realized it was a smell she never smelled before. Evelyn then saw a human boy sitting on the beach and was relived to have her contact lenses in. She approached the boy with cation and spoke very gently to him. "Are you ok? You look upset..." She didn't show a lot of emotion on her face but she did care inside but knew she had to keep it under control and she wastn't standing directly in the fading sun, it didn't do much to her skin.

Jacob sighed deeply and closed his eyes and just let himself listen to the things around him. The ocean was calming as it hit the cliffs not too away from him. The very light wind going through the trees behind him put a fresh scent in the air along with the ocean's. But none of it helped him get his mind off of Bella. Nothing did, apart from an adrenaline rush, which he was really not in the mood for. He just wanted some peace and quiet, some time to himself for once.
He was about to get up and go back home when he heard a voice speaking to him. He looked up to the girl only a couple of feet away from him. His eyes narrowed slightly with confusion of seeing her. He hadn't heard her walk up to him. At that point, Jacob didn't know she was vampire as she was standing down wind to him. But still, deep down, he knew something wasn't right. But he couldn't pin point it at all.
He stood to his feet and shook his head as a fake, crooked smirk came to his lips. "Fine, thanks. Just got some stuff to work out," he answered and sensed she did actually care.

Evelyn looked up at the sky and then at the water, she was really starting to like it here. She then looked at him and frowned slightly, she wasn't so sure if the smile he had was real but decided to play along with it. Then she started to become curious about him and kept talking. "Oh, are you from around here? Sorry, if I seem noisy it's just this is my first time here. This place seems beautiful, like artwork but it's not drawn or painted." She smiled happily even though she knew she sounded corny or awkward.
Evelyn tried to ignore the smell of wet dog but it was really getting to her. 'Is that smell coming from him or was their a dog here a few minutes ago? And why can't I smell his blood?' She shock her head of the thought and smiled, it was the one time she never was tempted to drink the humans blood and she was happy of it. Looking down at her feet and Evelyn sighed listening to the sound of nature and the water, it calmed her down and their was little to no people here which made her worry less.

With seeing her look up to the sky, he could see she must have been new to La Push. She seemed to like the scenery around her and kept on smiling as she looked. He listened carefully to her words and actually smiled genuinely with hearing her. Yeah, I am actually. I've lived here most of my life. Where are you from? I haven't seen you around here before." he said evenly but kindly.
His eyes narrowed a little when seeing her shaking her head like she had just wiped a thought which had came to mind or something. "Are you okay?" he asked softly. He went to take her wrist when his inner wolf growled and stopped him. He looked to the side in wonder of what would set it off like that. He could still feel there was something different about this girl, but he didn't know what. It was confusing him greatly.

Evelyn looked from the sky down to him, "No, I'm not from around here. I'm live in Seattle but I needed to get away from the crowds of people." She toke a step back when he tried to grab her wrist, she never liked to be touched by anyone. "Ya I'm ok. Sorry if I worried you or something." She said securely, she thought he was nice and wanted to treat him the same.
Evelyn almost couldn't bare the smell, and she knew it was coming from him this time. "Um, do you own a dog? Cause you um..smell a lot like a dog. Not trying to be rude though. Just wondering." She said in a polite way, she did like dogs but it smelled way too strong. But for some reason she really hated the smell but liked that she couldn't smell the person's blood.

His eyes narrowed slightly with hearing her words. "Crowds?" he asked softly with a risen eye brow while watching her closely, and taking notice to her body language. He could tell she was slightly nervous and shy, and something was making her uncomfortable. He wondered what was on her mind to make her feel uncomfortable, but then, he heard it.
His eyes narrowed with hearing the first part of her question and then went into shock with hearing the rest of it. So she's a bloodsucker, he thought. He wouldn't have ever guessed it. She seemed too calm, gentle and kind to be one. He didn't know what to say or think within that moment. He looked away, and out to the sky which was now sunless while thinking his reply. He knew she couldn't be like the other vampires, with how he had sensed how she was acting around him. She cared.
He looked down to the sand and then spoke softly and gently. "No, its me. I'm a werewolf, and I'm guessing your a vampire, right?" he asked and looked up to her, looking her in the eye as a soft crooked smile came to his lips. "I can sense your different from the others."

Evelyn eyes widen in shock as she heard him speak. "Your a werewolf? Here I thought vampires being real was a crazy thought." I guess humans are wrong, these creatures really do live among us... She mumbled under her breath and shuffled the sand under her feet. The sun was no longer beating on the sand it and it was cooling off really quickly, not like she could really notice she was already cold.
"Ya, I am a vampire-not proud of it but I am one." She rubbed the back of her head and gave an awkward smile. Evelyn wondered what it must have been like to be a werewolf. "I'm guessing you have meet your fair share of vampires in your life time. Oh wheres my manners, my names Evelyn," she said with a big smile on her face happy to have meet someone who wasn't a vampire and didn't want to eat them. She was starting to trust this person, the first person since she became a vampire that she could trust.

Jacob couldn't help but laugh with what she had said. He thought the same thing. "Agreed," he smirked with humour. "It is crazy." A light breeze came up after the sun had set. It lightly brushed across Jacob's skin and gave him hints of her sickly-sweet scent, but it didn't worry him like it used to. With having to be around Edward a lot more lately, he was used to it almost.
With hearing her say she wasn't proud of being a vampire, his eyes narrowed slightly. He knew she was different to the others. She was too gentle and caring, which was one thing about her which had thrown him off the thought of being such a creature. "Why's that? Why don't you like being a vampire?" he asked genitally. She couldn't be a typical leech, he thought. As he watched her, he could still tell she wasn't comfortable. "Yeah, you could say that," he laughed and smiled with hearing her name. "Nice. It's Jacob," he smirked crookedly. Usually, with meeting any vampire, Jacob took an instant disliking to them, but for some reason, this time, it was different. He felt like he could trust her, even without even knowing much about her.

Evelyn smiled and looked at the darking sky above her, "well...when you have an unquenchable thirst for blood and you kill humans just to get what you want it can be a drag. Not the type of life I want to live, even though I drink blood bags most of the time I can't have a good conversation with humans without running away or killing them...I hate it." She looked at the ground and frowned, Evelyn really did hate the way she had to live and wished she could change it. She remembered the faces of the people and wiped that thought from her head extremely quickly, it was the last thing she wanted to see if.
She looked up at him and smiled, "it's nice to meet you Jacob." She still smelled the wet dog scent and it was still distracting at times but she knew the scent would become more welcoming sooner or later. She noticed the moon and smiled more, the moon was always welcoming to her it hid what she was.

His eyes narrowed at her words and looked away. He understood what she was saying, but at the same time it surprised him slightly. He thought she would be more like the Cullens' "I get it," he murmured softly without looking back to her. "I didn't think you would be the typical vampire though," he added in a lower tone. He could see she really didn't like it, but it still didn't stop him from being caught off guard. He was made to kill any leech which touched a human, and yet, he didn't want or have the feeling to do a thing about it this time.
His eyes closed as his hands turned into tight fist while his jaw clenched tightly too. His inner wolf was threatening to take over and do the job he didn't want to do. 'No, he growled at it in thought, though it only helped a little. He willed his inner wolf to calm down, and slowly his eyes opened again, but he didn't look back up to her. "Have you tried animal blood?" he asked in a husky tone.

Evelyn heard his words clearly, "Typical?" She said softly then saw his wide range of body motions, he looked angry. "Are you ok, did I say something wrong. If I did, I'm sorry...I didn't mean too." She said and looked up at the sky with a slight frown on her face, she didn't know what she said to make him so mad. She rethought on the words she said when she heard him speak about 'animal blood.' It was an odd thought to her, she thought of it once.
Evelyn never tried it before, nor did she know she could live off the stuff. When she was human she was a vegetarian and never liked to hurt animals, but was their life more important then humans who had family and had to put food on the table for them. "No, I never tried it before, but it seems way better then harming humans." Evelyn said with sorrow in her voice, then wondered if the blood tasted good or not. She was cation about what to say when she thought he still sounded mad, she didn't want to upset him more then she already did.

Jacob had to think before he spoke. He knew if he didn't think it through before saying it out loud, it could come out wrong. "I mean, typical vampire who drinks human blood . . . I know a coven who drinks only animal blood," he explained calmly while staring down at the sand. He looked up to her and shook his head. "Its nothing you did or said. Its just animal instinct trying to take over," he sighed and sat back on the damp sand, before lying back and staring up at the stars that slowly appeared in the night sky. "I hate it," he admitted out loud.
He looked back to her with hearing her words. He knew it would be hard for her to adjust to, but he could see she was more than willing. He swallowed back the lumped which had formed in his throat. He couldn't believe what he was about to say. "I-I can help you, if you want," he said and then looked back up to the sky. "I have to help you now," he said evenly with a sigh. He knew what the others would have done the second they saw her on their land, but, for some reason, Jacob wanted to help her. If he could.

Evelyn looked at him in shock, "There's vampires that can live off of animal blood, I never knew that. Then again the eater didn't tell me I could live off animal blood either." She said and toke the letter ot of her pocket and looked at it. The note didn't say anything about animal blood in it. Evelyn looked up at the sky and looked at all the stars that were up there.
She then looked back at Jacob happily, "really you can help me?" She turned her head slightly to the side while still looking at him. She saw that he really did want to help her even though she can guess that his species weren't made to like vampires too much.

"Yes, there are, he sighed and sat up, letting his arms rest on the tops of his knees, and then looked at her with his eye brow risen after hearing 'eater'. "Who is the eater?" he quizzed, curious and a little concerned. He wanted to know who that eater was and what they did.
He sighed after and looked out to the ocean's rippling in while speaking. "Yes, I can," he said and paused for a moment. "As long as you listen to what I have to say, stay off La Push lands, and don't harm humans in the process," he looked at her from the corner of his eye then, without moving his head. "I'll steal blood from a blood-bank before I let you harm a human. I'm not supposed to be letting you go, you know?" he said in both a deep and even tone of voice. He really wasn't supposed to let her go alive when he knew she had harmed humans in the past, and he knew if Sam ever found out, there would be a serious fight. But all that didn't seem to worry him at all within that time. He just knew there was something different about her which was making him want to help her in every way he could. He just hoped he could without the help of the Cullens'.
