Jacob nodded. "Uh, yeah. . . she dates Edward Cullen. . . and the Volturi found out. Well, if I have any say about it, it will end up in a fight. I'm not going to let them touch her!" he shook his head at hearing her thinking they need to be taught a lesson. "I don't think that it is possible. There's too many off them and they're all got strong gifts. I wish I could though. . . "
He looked back at her from where he had been staring at the mountain lion. It was just about to catch the deer when it had spotted the lion and took off. Jacob was keeping a close eye on the two and where they were going just by the sounds of the forest. They wouldn't get too far. "I can just sense you really want to try a new life," he scoffed and smirked at the idea of lots of nice vampires. "That appends on what you call nice. Real or fake. I know one "nice" vampire, who is only nice when she's getting her way and using you." He shook his head with thinking of Kasey and how she had tried to use him. He was still annoyed about it.
"I'm not top sure. Its in the legends of my tribe. I thinks it a balance thing. Like without the birds eating a lot of bugs we would have too many bugs. Ya know?" he looked at her and smiled while continuing to walk along side of her.
A strange sound ripped through the forest and Jacob smelt the faint scent of blood hit the air. He knew the mountain lion had caught the deer. He stopped walking along side her and fell behind to quickly started to take off his shirt and jeans, just leaving on his boxers. He tied his jeans around his ankle. "Stay here," he said and took off after the lion. He phased, shredding what was left of his clothing, just before disappearing into the thicker forest in front of them.
He slowly sneaked up on it and saw the lion start eating the deer. The lion looked up to Jacob with hearing him and hissed. Jacob snarled back, showing his teeth but didn't back down. The mountain lion went to pick up the deer and take it into a tree when he jumped on it. The lion dropped the deer and started to fight him back until he snapped the lions throat. He picked it up it his mouth and started to drag it over to Evelyn with ease. He dropped in a few metres away from her and disappeared again, only to return with the deer too. He phased back and pulled on his jeans.
"That wasn't as hard as I thought it would be," he said with a smirk, feeling the adrenaline pumping through his veins, until wincing with feeling a cut on the side of his arm.

She patted him on the shoulder, "don't worry if they do come then I got an idea on how I could possibly help. I could make her look like a vampire to them...if there's only a few of them.." She smiled and stopped walking and smiled. "It sounds like you like this Bella girl. The way your protective of her I never seen a man think that way about a women and had no feelings of love toward them." Evelyn giggled and wondered if she was right, she was a good guesser at times but did get some things right.
She frowned slightly, "only a fake nice is the only nice for vampires. I have a feeling I wouldn't get along with most vampires then..." Evelyn mumbled under her breath and rubbed the back of her head. "Let me guess that girl tried to use you?" She said and raised an eyebrow.
"Balance? Your right without the bird there would be also of bugs. I wonder why vampires even came into real life. I always thought this stuff was fiction but I guess I'm wrong." She said and kept walking then stopped and nodded at Jacob and saw him run off.
Evelyn stood there for few quite moments to think about everything that happened that day, the second most confusing day in her life. She saw him bring it back. "Thank you, Jacob." She said and dragged it behind a bush so he didn't have to see it and started drinking from the animal.

He smiled at her. Liking her idea, but not really wanting her to get involved in case something went wrong. Things around and in Jacob's life seemed to have a tendency to turn out bad. He didn't want to get her in trouble with the Volturi. But he didn't to offend her. He smiled slightly. "Thanks, and I hope your right," he said lightly, and looked down to the forest floor. He felt his cheeks turn slightly red. "Uh, yeah, I do actually. . ." he admitted lightly. "But it doesn't change anything." He shook his head with the thoughts of Bella coming into his mind now.
"Yeah, she did and probably would have if I didn't have Edward with me at the time. She's still after me though," he said slowly. He couldn't believe how obsessed Kasey seemed to be over him.
He nodded with thinking the same thing as she had said. "I used to think the same thing. I don't know what to believe anymore. I guess vampires came to life to control the numb of humans? I can't think what else they would be here for."
He smiled slightly with hearing her thank you. "No problem Evelyn. I'm happy to help." He leaned up against the trunk of a tree with his arms folded over his chest. His hand stayed on the side of his arm where the cut on his arm was. He could feel it was still bleeding, but slowly starting to heal. He wondered if she could smell the faint scent of his blood or not.

Evelyn smiled happily and nudged him slightly, "you could still have a chance with her. She does have feelings for you, right?" She said and thought of the boyfriend she had as a human and when she saw him again when she was a vampire. Evelyn shock the thought from her head and looked at Jacob, the thought still lingering in her head.
She nodded, "this Edward person. Is he a friend of your or do you hate him for taking Bella away?" She asked and tried to ignore the urging feeling of her curiosity. It got her into way too much trouble and was the sole reason of why she is what she is today. "Sorry if I seem noisy...." Evelyn then looked down at the ground.
After Evelyn was finished with the animal she put it into a bush and wiped her face clean. She walked out smiled, "your so nice even though you just met me." She saw his arm bleeding and covered her nose to realize she couldn't really smell it in all that wet dog smell. "I have to admit even though I'm not a big fan of your wet dog scent it does get rid of the blood smell." She then walked up to him and saw the fast recovery of the wound. "You heal alot faster then I did as a human. Trust me I was very accident prone." She rubbed the back of her head and smiled brightly.

He snickered as she nudged him and smirked at her. "Yeah maybe. But I don't know really. And yeah, she does. More so than what she used to feel for me, but, still not enough to change anything," he shrugged his shoulders, pretending like it really didn't bother him, when it was quiet the opposite. He noticed something change in her as she looked at him. His eyes narrowed slightly with trying to work out what she was thinking. "What's wrong?" he questioned.
He was a little caught off guard by her question about him and Edward. He wasn't sure how to answer it. "Its complicated to be honest. I don't really hate him, at times. But other times I do, but its not because of Bella, all the times. I just see he doesn't suit her, you know? He's the opposite to everything she is. He's everything she hates to be honest," he admitted honestly, but still not too sure if he had summed it up correctly. He smiled at her and shook his head. "No, your not."
He smiled at her again kindly with hearing her. He loved to see how grateful she was for his help. He actually loved helping her. "Its the least I could," he murmured with his head tiled to the side. He laughed at her reaction and words that followed with her seeing the cut on his arm. "Um, thanks, I think. And yeah, werewolves heal faster than humans, so that's why." He took his hand away from the side of his arm to see if it was fully healed or not. It was just about fully healed over like nothing had ever been there.

Evelyn nodded and kept walking, "Well maybe she finally realizes who she would want to be with." She shrugged and and looked down, when he asked her what was wrong she looked up at him and smiled. "Oh nothing. I'm ok." She said not wanting to remember what she did.
"She should be lucky to have a great friend like you. Most guys would leave the girl they liked when their with another man. But your different." She smiled kindly and stopped looking around hearing the sounds of nature surround her. Evelyn became in peace with nature.
She looked at the cut, "it's very interesting. It seems like fun being a werewolf, more so then vampires." She said and leaned against a tree and closed her eyes for a few minutes listening to animals and bugs that were near-by.

"Sadly, I don't think so," he murmured and looked to her. "Your sure?" he questioned. "You feel worried, even sad or something." Jacob could tell something was bothering Evelyn. But he knew better than to push the subject. He hated it when people did it to him, so he tried to make a point of not doing it to others.
He smiled crookedly at her, feeling comforted by her words before looking back down at the forest floor. "Its probably because she's my imprint," he murmured. He looked up to the night sky and leaned against a tree, admiring the night before his eyes. The stars twinkled brightly and moon shone down upon the land. "It can be fun at times," he admitted. "I wouldn't choose this life though, if I had a choice."

Evelyn looked from the ground to him, "It's nothing special I just remember my boyfriend that was going to go to the same college as me. But something changed that mind set..." She sighed and kept walking feeling guilty for what happened to her boyfriend when he last seen her. She remembered his reaction and what she did. Evelyn was never able to get rid of that memory no matter how hard she tried.
"Imprint? Whats an imprint? Sounds kinda funny, how do you know if you imprinted." She said and stopped herself knowing she was getting too excited again and asking lots of questions. "Well the werewolf life sounds way better then the vampire life from the sounds of it." Evelyn said and sat on a nearby rock and stretched her arms slightly to relax them.

Jacob strolled along side of Evelyn, watching her movements. "Do you want to talk about it?" he whispered, unsure. He thought for a moment about how to explain his answer. It was hard enough for him to understand it, let alone explain it to someone too. "It's a wolf thing. Its just like a soul mate, but I don't have any choice about how I feel about her. I just, love her. I can't change it, even if I wanted to. Its hard to explain, to be honest," he said in a calm tone. He chuckled at her words. "Its annoying really. You know when everything around you changes, when you see her. Its like its just you and her in the room. No one and nothing else matters."
He smirked with sensing she was getting excited again. "I could say the same thing about you," he smiled a smirk, turning towards her. "You really are interested, aren't you?" he comments in a tone making it more of a fact than question.

Evelyn sighed and looked back at Jacob, "no not really, it's something I want to forget about." She said and kept walking thinking of several things. [colro=teal]"It must be nice to know when you met your soul mate, I'm still waiting for mine to come."[/color] She said thinking that over thirty years and she still couldn't find a lover.
She giggled lightly, "ya I do get interested in stuff i know little to nothing about. I get excited when I ask alot of questions. It's kinda weird." She said and stopped walking.

Jacob nodded with hearing her. He knew what wanting to forget something was like. "I know how that feels," he murmured in a sigh and looked up to her, still walking along side of her.
He looked up at the moon, seeing the light changing. "I probably should go I guess. Do you have some where to stay?" Rubbing the back of his neck, Jacob stopped walking and looked at Evenly. He hoped she did have some place nice to stay, but he was doubtful. He didn't know what he could do about it anyway.

Evelyn stopped as he stopped and looked over at him smiling, "Yes I do have a place to stay. I have an apartment in Seattle." She paused for a second and looked up t the moon, laughing slightly. "It was nice meeting you, I hope to meet you again. And thank you for showing me this new diet, I like it." She said and started to head off but waved good Bye to him and then started to run at full speed back to Seattle. She has a lot to think about tonight.

Jacob smiled kindly towards Evelyn. "Nice meeting you too Evelyn, and you will. I'm usually around. I'm just happy I could help you," he said in a soft and even tone, running his hand along the back of his neck.
Seeing her waving her hand goodbye, he watched as she stayed to run off at full speed. "Bye," he murmured, knowing he was speaking to himself. He turned back towards home, at first slowly walking but then started to run. Never had Jacob thought he would make a friend with a vampire.
