Edward's pale and flawless skin gives him the look of a ghost. But this all changes when he emerges into sunlight: for his skin becomes glass-like and crystal looking, shimmering like diamonds. This has been complimented by Bella as being beautiful. This is why Vampires don't walk in sunlight. His hair is a slight bronze/gold colour with a style of vague spikes, but most of the time - stylishly messy. Edward stands at a whopping 6'1. This, along with dark, hypnotic bruise-type marks around his eyes and his attitude of broodiness and mysterious. One could easily say he is the perfect 'Tall, dark and handsome'

His eyes resemble warm embers of a fire, glowing with butterscotch intensity. Swooning various females with the surprising change to pitch black when thirsty. His face is perfectly defined, with chizzled features such as cheeks, nose and chin. His lips can be said as to be crimson red, but also has a pale tone added. These perfect lips then uncover two rows of perfectly aligned teeth; but also are sharp and razor-like.

Edward has the physique of a male model: with it being quite thin but on the other hand, muscular. His perfectly tones chest, arms and legs are always hidden by his unmatchable fashion sense. Usually consisting of light coloured V-neck shirts and t-shirts, hidden behind a lightly coloured beige jacket.

Edward can have a range of moods. At times, he is known too be kind, caring and gentlemanly but he can also have his mood of stubbornness and being bad-tempered. He is extremely protective of Bella and he can become infuriated with the matter of becoming a vampire at will since he holds the belief that vampires posses no soul. He has always controlled his temper to the point of never having to rip anyone apart. He loathes the wolves, since they constantly wind him up by purposely abusing Edward's ability to read minds. One wolf in particular, Jacob has been known to annoy Edward and made him lose his temper, up until they are screaming at each other with Bella in the midst. And, with Edward and Jacob ending up in a situation, he always must keep his mood for Bella.

He has been known to be extremely over-protective of the people he cares about, especially Bella. Sometimes, this makes things worse since Edward would keep dangerous things out of Bella's mind, hoping she would not worry; inevitably making things worse.

Edward was dying from the Spanish flu when Dr. Carlisle Cullen was begged by his mother to help him. Everyone in his family thought there was something not quite right about Edward as the rest of the Cullens had been able to to find a partner apart from Edward. But all that changed when Bella Swan moved to Forks. At first, he thought she had brought him his own personal hell, but
then he found that she was actually his personal heaven. He loved her with all his heart and thought that maybe he could have a somewhat human life with her but when Bella found out about Edward being a vampire - she could no longer focus on her human life; she wanted what Edward had. To be a vampire.

Edward seemed very reluctant to this and begged and pleaded her out of it by admitting that he was a monster. Bella and Edward then continued their relationship until The Cullens were to go away from Forks along with Edward, he thought this would make her have a better life. Little did he know that Bella could not live without Edward, so she wanted to see him again somehow.

After Edward left, Bella fell into a dark time, where she couldn't get herself out of, until she visited her best friend and 'sun', Jacob. After a while, he seemed to fall in love with her, but Bella still loved Edward.

It became known to Bella that any rush of danger or risk would bring on Edward's vision and would tell her not to. She acted on this and made it out that she had killed herself by cliff jumping. Edward caught wind of this from his sister Alice, so he decided he would travel to Italy, to ask the Volturi to kill him.

Bella went to Italy in search of Edward to how him that she was alive and that he was being stupid.

After a while of their relationship, strange things started to happen - killings of people. This became apparent to Edward and his family that the killings were from Newborn vampires and that an army was being created by Bella's enemy, Victoria to kill her.

Edward, Bella, the Cullens and even the wolves came together to put an end to the Newborns and Victoria. Only to attract the Volturi to Bella whom they encroach for being human.

They eventually leave Edward and Bella in peace.

Everything seemed to be okay after the fight with the Newborn vampire army, until both he and Bella heard Jacob had ran off and no one knew where he had taken off to. After that, Bella seemed to fall apart again. She called off the wedding, as she wasnt sure of anything anymore. It hurt Edward greatly that she was having second thoughts, but he understood. Before long, Bella went back to Jacksonville to work things out for herself, but it didn't help anything. She was still the same when she came back to Forks. Before long, Edward and his family started to travel around the world.
